Terms of Service

These terms govern your access to and use of Inspectrix. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

Inspectrix provides tools for building and property inspection workflows, including checklists, findings, photographs, documents, floorplans, collaboration, and report preparation. Features may change as the service develops.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in methods secure, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account and for ensuring that authorised team members comply with these terms.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering these terms. If you use Inspectrix for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation.

3. Your content and responsibilities

You retain ownership of information and materials you submit to Inspectrix. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, reproduce, and transmit that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service and provide features you request.

You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and professional use of your inspection content, for obtaining any permissions required to collect or upload personal information, photographs, recordings, and property documents, and for reviewing reports before issuing or relying on them.

4. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use Inspectrix unlawfully, fraudulently, or to infringe another person's rights;
  • upload malicious code or content you are not entitled to use;
  • attempt to bypass security, access another user's account, disrupt the service, or probe systems without written permission;
  • misrepresent generated material as independently verified where it has not been reviewed; or
  • resell or copy the service except under a separate written agreement.

5. Professional judgment

Inspectrix is a record-keeping and report-preparation tool. It does not replace an inspector's qualifications, site investigation, professional judgment, legal obligations, applicable standards, or independent advice. Templates, suggested wording, automated processing, and generated reports must be checked for accuracy and suitability before use.

6. Third-party services

Inspectrix relies on third-party services including authentication, cloud hosting, storage, mapping, app distribution, and other integrations. Your use of those services may also be governed by their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.

7. Beta and TestFlight releases

Preview, beta, development, and TestFlight releases may be incomplete, change without notice, contain defects, or experience data resets and interruptions. They are provided for evaluation and testing and should not be your sole repository for critical records.

8. Intellectual property

Inspectrix and its software, branding, designs, and documentation are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited right to use the service under these terms, no rights are transferred to you.

9. Availability and termination

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, legal compliance, or suspected misuse.

You may stop using Inspectrix at any time. We may terminate or restrict access for material or repeated breach of these terms. Provisions that by their nature should continue, including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits, survive termination.

10. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, Inspectrix is provided on an "as available" basis without implied guarantees beyond those that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or loss caused by content you provide, professional decisions, third-party services, or failure to maintain independent backups.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect service, legal, or security changes. We will publish the updated terms with a new effective date and provide additional notice where reasonably required. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Northern Territory, Australia, and applicable Commonwealth laws. For questions about these terms, email support@inspectrix.com.au.
